I think this is my frightening Halloween moment...October 31: I don't know whether to laugh or cry...
read/add comments (5) Happy Halloween!October 31: This was taken at the Dysfunctional Theatre fundraiser Friday night. I think it looks very funky even though it's a mistake! Those of you who were too lame to attend--you missed a really fun night. So, pooh on you... J'aime Paris!October 15: We're back from our little vacation in Paris...*sob*. Cathedrals, la Tour Eiffel, the food, the wine! We took a rather adventurous day trip to Reims (thank you oh-so-much to the FINE folks at SNCF...fuckers). I think Oiseau already wrote it up beautifully! She and her fiancé, the adorable Gaultier, are just the nicest people! They took us all over his family's wine house. Excuse me, CHAMPAGNE, house. A true family operation--it's connected to the house and the vines surround the buildings. It's gorgeous--like a freakin' postcard, people. They live in a postcard. When you live in Manhattan surrounded by concrete...well, I felt like I'd stumbled into some sort of movie set. I love the internet. Where else would I have ever met such really nice, cool people? It's not like I'm hanging around France all that much! We've made such wonderful friends through the internet, I really feel blessed. I would have never found my Metrostitcher friends, all the beer folks: Andy and Laura, Dave and Sabrina, Chris, the knitters, the wonderful quilters who helped save my Bogie-cat, hell--even Dysfunctional Theatre, I saw the audition notice for "Untitled Farce" in the online edition of Backstage. The list goes on and on. I'm very happy to add Oiseau and her fiancé to that list. Thanks again to you both, it was so very, very wonderful to meet you in person! Dave has put up our photos on his site. Pictures speak a thousand words... I can't wait to go back!
In other almost equally exciting news, our kitchen cabinets are here! They're stacked in the dining room in all their Ikea flat-packed glory. Shortly after our return from Paris the kitchen will ripped out--say goodbye to the shitty pink oven, people! And just something else I just noticed. It's 66 degrees outside, my weather pixie is wearing a tank top. Has that bitch got NO sense?! Geez.
