And so goes my life

For those of you don't know, I work at a staffing company, and let me tell you honey, you see it ALL at a staffing company. The amazing variety that life offers up is on full display in that place. While covering the front desk yesterday afternoon for our receptionist's lunch break a nice looking, older gentleman came in to register with us. I'm going to now put the following conversation on my top ten list of things to NOT do or say while job seeking:

Him: Is that an accent I hear?

Me: I don't know, what does it sound like?

Him: It's not a New York accent. You weren't born here were you?

Me: No. I grew up down South.

Him: Ah--that's it. Where down South?

Me: Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Him: Oh. Are you a cracker?
